I think what I really valued in the consultation was an honest assessment of the benefits and also the risks so I went into the surgery literally with my eyes wide open about the high probability of success but also that there would be some changes to the sight I had. I have to say the surgery was very quick and pain-free. I had a little bit of discomfort during the day of the surgery but that disappeared very quickly and I was able to really have a a normal life from then on. It’s been incredibly liberating to wake up in the morning and be able to see without reaching for my glasses.
